MY PRIORITIES
GETTINGS THINGS DONE: After years of flatlining wages and a stagnating economy, too many people have stopped believing politics and politicians can change things for the better. I’m determined to change that. Reach out to me and I’ll do everything in my power to make a difference for you.
RAISING LIVING STANDARDS: Work hasn’t been working for too many people in Swansea. I want to see a growing economy put more money in the pockets of working people in our city. That’s why I’m supporting the ban on exploitative zero-hour contracts and a higher minimum wage.
BUILD AN NHS FIT FOR THE FUTURE: Improving our hospitals and health services is the top priority of many constituents, so I’m working with local hospitals, and the Welsh and UK Governments to get those most in need treated and off waiting lists.
A SAFER SWANSEA: I’m backing more neighbourhood policing to tackle the crime and antisocial behaviour that too often stop people enjoying our high-streets.
CONNECTING SWANSEA: Our city deserves better public transport. I’m fighting for decent bus services and our share of badly needed rail investment.
A GREENER FUTURE: I want to tackle the climate crisis in a way that supports jobs, not least that can come from floating offshore wind in the Celtic Sea.
As your MP, I promise to:
BE PART OF TEAM SWANSEA: I will work tirelessly for you. I am always available, out door-knocking every week as well as holding regular advice surgeries and coffee mornings. I will work hand in hand with Swansea Council, community groups, local residents, firms and trade unions to deliver change.
STAND UP FOR SWANSEA: I will stand up for Swansea, stand against those who talk our city down, and against those who seek to divide us. I will always work to reach out to all parts of our community, bridge divides and unite us.
DELIVER NATIONALLY: I’ve spent years successfully campaigning for better living standards and higher wages. I’ll continue this work as your MP, using my voice on the national stage to make sure Swansea’s voice is heard.
